Deadline for University of Alberta IEE staff to submit a list of selected Stage 1 candidates to Global Affairs Canada through the My EduCanada portal. Not all selected candidates are guaranteed funding through our institutional project. |

While EduCanada advertises August 1, 2026 as the earliest possible program start date, Sept 1 is the earliest research start date for all SEED-2 selected participants at University of Alberta, due to necessary registration procedures and processing times. |

February 1, 2027 |
As per the funding agency, this is the latest possible program start date. Successful SEED-2 candidates must plan to arrive in Canada by no later than January 31, 2027. |
