On October 16, 2025, the College of Social Sciences and Humanities (CSSH) hosted its first college-wide research celebration in Education North’s 4th Floor Lounge and Studio. The event brought together faculty researchers, centres, institutes and research support teams for a showcase of posters and live presentations. Reflecting the college’s mandate to increase impact by serving as integrators and expanding interdisciplinary education and research programming across faculty boundaries, the celebration offered colleagues an opportunity to connect, share their work and reflect on the depth and diversity of scholarship across the college.
U of A President Bill Flanagan, SSHRC Vice-President of Research Sylvie Lamoureux and CSSH Dean Chris Andersen also spoke at the event, acknowledging the impact and reach of work across the social sciences and humanities.
