Wahkohtowin Lodge (Indigenous space at Augustana)
All students are welcome to use Wahkohtowin Lodge as a space to meet, work, relax, and play. "wahkohtowin" is a nehiyaw (Plains Cree) concept related to "kinship," referring to the ties of mutuality and reciprocity that create responsibilities to other human beings and to animals, to the land, the water, and the sky, that offer the bases of our lives and relationships.
Service Offerings
- Central gathering space with comfy chairs & tables under the mîkiwahp (tipi)
- Flexible classroom space for meetings & seminars
- Community space for Indigenous students, including a range of services
- Tours are available from Indigenous Student Services
- Computer stations and free printing, photocopying and scanning for Indigenous students
