Student group prayer, worship, & ceremony space booking

The Interfaith Chaplains’ Association at the University of Alberta supports the spiritual life of the campus community by facilitating access to space for student-led prayer, worship, and religious ceremonies. Representing a wide range of faith traditions, chaplains work collaboratively to ensure religious freedom, inclusion, and respect. The service supports faith-based student groups in hosting worship services, prayer gatherings, rites of passage, and interfaith activities while fostering dialogue, community connection, and holistic student development

Service Offerings

• Booking of campus spaces for student group prayer and worship

• Support for religious ceremonies and rites of passage (e.g., memorials, weddings, blessings)

• Guidance for faith-based student clubs and religious groups

• Interfaith and intercultural dialogue facilitation

• Referrals to chaplains and campus faith resources

How to Access

Book a space through appropriate university space-booking process. Interfaith Chaplains’ Association provides guidance or support as needed.

Hours of Operation
Monday - Friday: 9 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
(May - August hours may vary)
Chaplains are available by appointment, or during drop-in hours from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

What to Expect

Space booking is subject to availability and university scheduling policies. Support is provided in a respectful, inclusive, and non-judgmental manner. Chaplains work with student groups to ensure appropriate space use and alignment with campus and religious guidelines.
