Sexual Assault Centre (volunteer program)

The U of A Sexual Assault Centre (UASAC) Volunteer/Education Program provides students with meaningful opportunities to support sexual and gender-based violence prevention and survivor-centred advocacy on campus. Guided by feminist, intersectional, anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, and community-driven values, volunteers help promote a culture of consent through education, outreach, and peer engagement. Student Education Volunteers work collaboratively with UASAC staff to deliver workshops, support awareness initiatives, build community partnerships, and assist peers in navigating campus resources. The program emphasizes reflective practice, ongoing training, and supportive supervision to ensure volunteers are well-prepared and supported in their roles.
