Mental health workshops

Mental Health Workshops offer interactive, skill-based sessions designed to help students, staff, and faculty better understand and manage common mental health challenges. Workshops cover topics such as stress, anxiety, mood, focus, motivation, self-compassion, mindfulness, boundaries, perfectionism, and imposter syndrome. Participants can learn practical strategies, ask questions, share ideas, or simply listen in a supportive and inclusive environment. Most workshops are delivered online via Zoom, with select offerings available in person. Sessions are facilitated by qualified mental health professionals and focus on building everyday skills that support academic success and personal well-being. Workshops are open to the U of A community and can be attended individually or requested for groups, classes, or units. These workshops are educational in nature and are not a substitute for individual counselling or therapy services.
