Immunizations for health faculty students

This mandatory program ensures first-year health science students meet required immunization standards for clinical placements by submitting immunization records, completing clearance forms, and attending appointments at the University Health Centre to support student and patient safety.

How to Access

  1. Collect required immunization records and complete required clearance forms.

A mandatory immunization clearance service offered during clinic hours, with timely review of records, vaccinations, and TB testing. Reliable service depends on complete documentation, appointment attendance, and early booking, with ongoing support from UHC staff.

Cost

1. $100 for the first Health Faculty immunization appointment
2. Additional $40 if complete immunization records are not provided (total $140)
3. $50 late, cancellation, or rescheduling fee if changes are made less than 24 hours before the appointment or if the student arrives late
Note: Provincial health care does not cover these fees.

Special Conditions

  • All first-year health science students are required to complete the 2025-2026 Health Faculty Immunization Clearance Form
  • There is no direct cost for appointments at the University Health Centre, as physician visits are covered by Alberta. Health Care for eligible students; additional costs may apply for medications or external services not covered by provincial or student health plans.
