Get help quitting smoking (tobacco cessation support)
Tobacco Cessation Support at the University Health Centre provides personalized, pharmacist-led assistance to help individuals quit smoking or using other tobacco products. Through one-on-one consultations, a trained pharmacist works with you to develop a quit plan tailored to your needs, goals, and preferences. Pharmacists offer expert counselling, ongoing follow-up, and are authorized to recommend and prescribe medications that support tobacco cessation. Initial consultations and follow-up appointments are covered by Alberta Health and provided at no cost. Clients are only responsible for the cost of any cessation products or prescriptions, many of which may be partially or fully covered by private insurance plans, including U of A student and staff plans.
