Experiential learning opportunities (Alberta School of Business)

The Alberta School of Business offers a variety of programs throughout the year to connect BCom, MBA, and MMA students with industry professionals, organizations, and hands-on activities, both within and outside of Edmonton. Students gain valuable exposure to workplaces, networking, industry trends, and opportunities to practice the skills they learn in the classroom.

Service Offerings

  • YEG Industry Insights Sprints (half-day trips to 1 organization via public transit)
  • YEG Industry Insights Treks (full-day trips to 2–3 organizations via charter bus)
  • Career Treks (single- or multi-day trips to other cities)
  • Case competitions (hosted by ASB or externally)
  • ASB Case Competitions Program

View upcoming YEGii Sprints, YEGii Treks, Career Treks, and case competitions on their respective pages. Competitive application packages may be required depending on the opportunity, as spots are limited.

Cost

No charge to participate in sprints and treks (transportation is included; meals are not). Case competitions costs may vary.

Special Conditions

These opportunities are available to BCom students only. Additional restrictions may apply for case competitions.
