Chromebook Lending Program

The Chromebook Lending Program supports students in maintaining academic progress by offering short-term access to a Chromebook for coursework and online learning. Chromebooks provide internet access and Google Workspace tools to support written assignments, eClass participation, and academic communication. Loans are intended for temporary use and are typically granted for one semester, with a maximum lending period of two semesters. Students must complete a registration form and comply with a lending agreement to participate in the program.

• Temporary loan of a Chromebook

• Access to: Internet browsing; Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail, Drive); Bear Tracks; Canvas

• Webcam and microphone for online classes and meetings

How to Access

1. Complete the Chromebook Lending Request Form.
2. Approved students are contacted with next steps and to sign a lending agreement.
3. Pick up the Chromebook in person.
4. Return the Chromebook and power cord in person at the end of the loan period.

What to Expect

The Chromebook Lending Program offers eligible students temporary access to a functional Chromebook, subject to availability. Devices support basic academic tasks using internet and Google applications.
Students receive support via email and are responsible for proper use, care, and timely in-person return. Reliable service depends on device availability and access to stable WiFi.

No charge for service

Special Conditions

  • Students are financially responsible for damage, loss, or theft of the Chromebook (approx. $500)
  • Lost or damaged power cord (approx. $30)
