The Commuter Study Hostel provides University of Alberta students with a safe and convenient place to stay on campus when commuting is not practical. Located in Mary Schäffer Hall, the hostel offers private rooms with washrooms and essential amenities to support short-term stays for academic purposes. Rooms include bedding, towels, a workspace, and access to shared kitchen and lounge facilities. High-speed wireless internet is available throughout the space. Stays are designed for short-term use, such as preparing for exams or completing late-night projects. Reservations must be made online and are confirmed based on availability

- Booking is only confirmed after email confirmation
- Online booking only; no walk-ins
- Cancellations must be made before 5 p.m. on the day of arrival to avoid a fee
- Failure to return room keys will result in a $150+ tax charge
