Black Youth for Social Innovation (BYSI) summer program

Black students in the College of Social Sciences & Humanities can apply to participate in one or more streams of this four-month paid summer program. The program has two streams: for undergraduate students to pursue independent research projects under the guidance of faculty, and for faculty to use their research grants to hire full-time research assistants. Faculty members apply in January and are matched with students in April.

Cost

Fees may apply
Independent student researchers may fund their own projects, while research assistants are funded by the supervisor's research grants.
