Bike Library & Workshop
Service offered by U of A Students' Union (UASU)
The Bike Library & Workshop (BLW) is a community bike shop on campus operated by Sustain SU. It provides free access to professional bike tools and repair stands for students, staff, and the campus community to maintain and repair their bicycles. Repairs are DIY, with guidance and limited assistance available from trained volunteers and the Bike Library Mechanic. The BLW also sells new and used bike parts and accessories, including tubes and tires, and offers affordable bike rentals. Originally founded in 2005 as a bike-lending service, the Bike Library evolved into the Bike Library & Workshop in 2013 when it relocated to SAB 1-13.
