Access rare books & print materials at the Bruce Peel Special Collections Library
Explore the U of A’s world-class collection of more than 100,000 rare books and a significant collection of archival materials from first editions and artists’ books to rare manuscripts and print ephemera.
Located in the basement of the Rutherford South Library building, students, faculty, staff and researchers and members of the public can book appointments to examine rare materials in a supervised reading room, ensuring proper handling and preservation. The Peel library also offers exhibitions and hosts a variety of workshops throughout the year.
