3D printing at the Library

The U of A Library provides a mediated 3D printing service for creating models and prototypes for educational purposes (e.g., an assignment, research instruments, prototypes, or creative designs). U of A students, faculty, and staff can create and submit their models for library staff to print using Polylactic Acid (PLA) filament on fused deposition modelling (FDM) printers.

How to Access

1. Review file requirements and preparation steps.
2. Prepare 3D model file (.stl format) and submit it via this Google Form.
3. Library staff will print the model.
4. Pick up the completed item within 30 days. You may be asked to present valid ID (ONEcard preferred).
