The GSA Nominating Committee invites nominations from graduate students to fill the one (1) position of Deputy Returning Officer (DRO). The term for this position ends June 30, 2018.

Nominations received will be circulated as submitted via email to GSA Council.
Overview of Position:
The DRO a non-voting member of the GSA Elections and Referenda Committee (GSA ERC), and must be readily available in February and March of 2018 for the GSA General Election. The DRO assists the Chief Returning Officer (CRO) as needed: the CRO oversees all GSA elections and referenda, and is a non-voting member of the GSA ERC. - GSA Council meetings are once a month on a Monday at 6:00 PM. (May be invited to Pre-Council as needed.)
- GSA ERC meetings will take place regularly between October and March to assist with the 2018 GSA General Election. Attendance at GSA ERC meetings is required.
Elections for this position will occur at the November GSA Council meeting on Monday, November 20, 2017, and the nominees will be invited to deliver brief remarks at this meeting. If nominees are unable to attend and would like to address Council, alternate arrangements can be made. The results of the GSA Council paper ballot vote will be communicated to all GSA Council Members.
